Hello, My Name Is...

One June 1, 2015, Representatives from the #MyNameIs campaign, joined by supporters from across the US, gathered at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park to protest the company’s “real name” policy after it failed to honor its promise to change it. This film captures that day, highlighting the stories of some of the protestors and showing how and why this policy is harmful and discriminatory. By sharing these experiences, this video aims to raise awareness and inspire a cultural shift toward a more inclusive society.
