Hello My Name Is
Skills:Campaigns, Events, Conferences & Talks, Micro Documentary
Client:Cinemagical Media
On June 1st, 2015 representatives from the #MyNameIs campaign along with supporters from all over the US descended upon Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park to protest their “real name” policy (after they had reneged on a promise to change the policy). This film documents that day, the stories of some of the protestors and surfaces how and why this policy is harmful and discriminatory. We hope that this film can expand peoples’ awareness of this issue and help bring about a much needed cultural shift that understands, protects and is inclusive for all of society. Help spread the word and share this film widely with your networks!
